The exhibition brings together 19 artists (or groups), curated by Zhang Xiaorui, and is centered around the theme of 'accessibility'.
The participating artists have crafted a multi-dimensional activation of touch, sound, and synesthesia, using an open narrative style and interactive perception to weave a "constellation of sensory symbiosis" through various media. The exhibition incorporates 'synesthetic tours', where visitors can engage with the composition and lines of flat artworks through 3D-printed " tactile reliefs" that accompany the pieces.
Braille labels allow visually impaired visitors to experience the artworks independently, without relying on others or audio devices. Olfactory experiences are also integrated into the exhibition space, offering unexpected encounters as visitors explore. Simultaneously, auditory narratives unfold, with embedded sensors in the artworks enabling interactive sound experiences. The curators invited four young musicians from the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover in Germany to compose music inspired by the artists' works, thereby expanding the cross-sensory approaches to interpreting the artworks.
